Apron Strings

Apron Strings is offering before and after school care in a positive, safe and stimulating environment. We are committed to offering an improved service for parents in the village community.

The ethos is caring, fun and happy where all children can be included in all activities if they wish and can also help with the decision making on what activities can be on offer within reason – no Xbox or Playstations! Sorry!

We offer outside games and activities – weather permitting, and inside puzzles, board games, Lego, Knex, Meccano, and a variety of arts and crafts. We also include the option of some quiet time with books.  We offer a variety of activities each session and aim to have a theme for the arts and crafts should the children wish to participate.

We operate a “Walking Bus” to and from school – all children wear a reflective strip/vest and although it is a short walk, please ensure they are appropriately dressed for the season.

8:30 – 8:45 Coats on/walk to school

PM

3:30 – 3:45 Register/Walking Bus

3:45 – 4:15 Outside Play (weather permitting)

4:15 – 4:45 Tea Time Snack

4:45 – 5:30 Creative Time

5:30 – 6:00 Tidy up time/Quiet time
